Whereabouts[edit]

how come? carlos ledher is the father of my cousin and as far as i know, he still is in jail!!! i could not believe it when i read this today!

NPOV[edit]

Sentences like th3 one below are not NPOV. At several places, this article seems to make an argument instead of presenting fact neutrally.

It says on George Jung's page that Ledher went into the witness protection scheme following a deal with Bill Clinton. This entry tells a different story. One of them is wrong.

It states that the deal was made in 1992 (mentions nothing about Clinton). Bill Clinton did not assume office until 1993, and the deal to testify against Noriega was made with Lehder in 1992--that would be under George H. added a load of stuff and rewrote the thing yesterday; i'll stick some external links in there and tidy it up and add s'more soon enough. also rewrote the george jung article and added a bit to the medellin cartel. i'm going to add a bunch more drug-war and drug-trade articles and have this link to 'em.

LEHEDER CAPTURE[edit]

In a last year released book writen by one of Pablo Escobar hit man, he claims that Carlos Leheder was delated by Pablo due Lehder killed one of Pablo's man.

Did Lehder actually build the airstrip/runway at Norman's Cay?[edit]

The article says that he built the runway - "...Lehder built a 3,300-foot runway protected by radar..." but the cited source is actually almost contradictory. It first says, "...Lehder arrived there in 1978 and started buying up large pieces of property, including a home for himself, a hotel and an airstrip..."; the implication being that the airstrip was already there. However, the source does later say that Lehder built the 3,300-foot runway.

I suspect, therefore, that Lehder extended the existing runway to enable larger planes to land but I can find no source that confirms this.

Other sources say that Norman's Cay was chosen by Lehder partly precisely because it already had a runway.

the whole Cay paragraph is confusing. It sounds like it's Lehder's personal base, then it seems he's sharing it with pablo, then it says he - Lehder - is getting 1 in 4 packages. Why not 100% of packages? Is he sharing Cay? Very confusing. DevilTrombone (talk) 05:17, 14 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This Article is Written By a Moron Using False Sources[edit]

This article contains a lot of good information, but needs a total rewrite because it was written by a moron who doesn't even understand the language. It sounds as it the whole thing was plagiarized from a real writer, edited to to conceal that, but done in a way that show the writer here just doesn't get the language. For example, this is one nonsensical sentence: "He was hired as a trusted bodyguard, although he was given the respect he had earned." Huh? This article is a joke. At least most of the "sources" are totally false, in the wrong language and "404 page not found" anyway. It ends on a truly moronic note, saying (with false sources I might add), "On July 22, 2005 he appeared in the US Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit to contest his sentence." Children[edit]

He has 4 other children besides Mónica who he hasn’t spoken to in over 10 years, she also refused to take a dna test as he disputes that is his daughter.

The other 4 are Maria Del Mar lehder Diana Lehder Carlos Enrique Lehder Natalia Lehder

Maria has asked me to add them. I did and sourced an article with a video interview where she mentions the other 4.

I also linked an article with Maria and Diana visiting their father during Christmas time a few years back, which had photos etc.

Just wondering why Carlos Enrique and Natalia keep being removed and why Maria and Diana have “uncertain ” at the end of their names. Is it because a reference is needed with their birthdates? My source is Maria Del Mar. SurgeonRT (talk) 04:08, 30 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There may be additional children than those appearing in the article. However, to be mentioned, they should have come out publicly to acknowledge this, which then would easily provide a supporting reference for that fact. Some of them may not want to be named in this article or publicly associated with their father, and they should therefore be respected in that decision and not be cited just by hearsay. There might also be usurpers that are pretending to be siblings, perhaps to attract some attention or publicity, and without references to support their claims they should not be mentioned. "Repatriation" to Germany[edit]

For unknown reasons, the German government took Lehder in recently, even though there is no necessity for this as Lehder has a different second citizenship besides the German one which he inherited via the German ius sanguinis from his father. It seems very dubious and has been kept cloaked in silence in most of the German press why this criminal and likely murderer has been let into the country at all. Lehder has, aside from stemming from a nazi-collaborating German father, not a single connection to Germany.
