"Single-player only"[edit]

All of the Half-Life games are narrative-based, and all of them have multiplayer elements on the PC. The console versions are single-player only with the exception of Decay. Thus my rephrasing, which was reverted. This definitely needs to be spelled out more clearly in the article. I don't understand the "flavor" comment on the edit. -DynSkeet (talk) 20:37, May 16, 2005 (UTC)

Gina's Death?[edit]

In opposing Force, the player can use the Displacer weapon to teleport himself to different areas around Xen. One of these teleport locations include an underwater cave that is shaped like a triangle. There are 2 bodies in the bottom of the cave: A scientist in one of the corners. The other body, lying near the teleport ball to the way out, is Gina's. Not sure if this detail is used in the "original" timeline but I believe its something that should be mentioned.

I added a sentence mentioning this. Since Gearbox would have had to specify the "gina.mdl" model, and that would become the official name of the doctor in Decay, I don't think there's any real doubt that this is supposed to be the same person. I imagine this would probably be considered canon since it's unlikely any of Gearbox's scenarios or characters will be mentioned ever again by Valve. MarphyBlack 01:40, 20 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I have edited my previous addition to add some ambiguity to the actual identity of this corpse since someone else added another statement saying that it might not really be Gina's. Again, Gearbox would have had to be really specific in choosing the gina.mdl and then again deciding to use the name Gina for one of the characters in Decay, but I guess there is still always some doubt. Is she wearing an HEV?

It is obvious to me that this simply is the gina.mdl model, which has existed since the original Half-Life. Gina is the Hazard Course instructor hologram afterall, and Gearbox probably just used an existing model for the "corpse". Gina is alive in the Blue Shift intro sequence at least, where she can be seen pushing the cart with the sample on the security monitors. -- Jordi· 14:11, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's Not Gina, The Hazard Suit's a different colour. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.106.13.226 (talk) 19:48, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not nessisarily. For all we know, that's Colette's suit, maybe something happened to Gina's suit and colette elected to stay behind without a suit. Or maybe colette died in the battle but her suit was intact. We don't know for sure. --165.154.24.24 (talk) 16:41, 2 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Watch more better that women. A long time ago I thought the same like you but if you compare Gina with that women, you will understand that they are diferents girls.88.17.156.11 (talk) 22:55, 27 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Missions[edit]

Say, if anyone has this game or has played it and remembers it well, do you think you could add chapter descriptions like in the other Half-Life game articles?

Weapon List?[edit]

There should be a weapon list in this article. I know Decay doesn't have new weapons like Blue-Shift but I think we have to include them. --Barneyinblue 08:30, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dead links[edit]

What's the procedure for references that contain dead links? The link to gearbox's note about Decay not being ported is now dead. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.169.227.123 (talk) 15:43, 24 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Valve Task Force Re-vitalization[edit]

Attention, all contributors to the Valve Task Force and the articles it constitutes!
I am here to announce that I will be re-vitalizing the Valve Task Force, aimed at universally improving articles constituting Valve Corporation, their employees, associates and products. This specific task force has been dormant for quite some time and with two very notable releases coming out this year, I feel like this is the appropriate time to re-stimulate the general aim of this group. For those who are not already members of the Valve Task Force, feel free to add your name to our members list and contribute to whatever articles you feel your contributions may prove beneficial for. Valve, its products and notable employees have proven to be essential to the progression of the video game industry, so I'd like to make a call of arms for this cause. Doubt anyone is going to read this but....[edit]

If this game can be played in single player mode, why bother listing it as a "multiplayer only" game? It's extremely pointless, and we even have noted that you can also play single player down below..... 108.49.50.140 (talk) 19:09, 22 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
