First U.S. flag[edit]

What other localities claim to have raised the first US flag? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.209.227.53 (talkcontribs) 23:45, May 26, 2006

Well, the flag that was raised on Prospect Hill used the Union Jack where we now use stars. I assume that another community can claim "first flag" by right of having a later version (with the 13 stars), or even a previous version (not sure what that would look like). Additional photo suggestions[edit]

More photos of the Union Square area would be nice, in addition to the monument photo that's already there. Tim Pierce 17:53, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Stores[edit]

I believe International Market is Salvadorian, while the other Indian market is called "Little India." Can someone in Union check on those facts? maxsch 02:14, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, International is Salvadorian. Aromanos (talk) 14:41, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree with the idea of merging the two pages. Union Square is a specific place whereas; Union Square Main Streets is an organization. --66.228.88.2 (talk) 12:17, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know how long ago the merger was suggested, but I agree. Urge Merge -kslays 17:03, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree, Union Square is a place, Union Square Main Streets is an organization. It seems a little devious to subjugate either one to the other. maxsch (talk) 20:12, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I also disagree. Union Square Main Streets is an important organization to Union Square, and is uniquely focused on the square. —Preceding unsigned comment added by FatCity (talkcontribs) 23:05, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
