Trini Lopez discography[edit]

Support split - Discography section takes up more than one third of the page, and should be split to a new article entitled Trini Lopez discography. --Jax 0677 (talk) 13:10, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Pinging Jax 0677 please reintroduce this discussion in a relevant WikiProject. Or if its any use, I agree with your proposal. Feel free to start split if you consider additional consensus unnecessary. A. C. Santacruz Talk 10:02, 14 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Date of Birth[edit]

A lot of the other sources say that he was born on May 15, 1937. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.122.216.158 (talk) 13:40, 12 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Only cover versions of songs[edit]

Did he write any of his own songs? What was his own hit? 101.108.8.64 (talk) 15:08, 12 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You can find information about Lopez's own songs through Secondhandsongs.com, here: [1]. However, their lists are generally incomplete, so it should not be counted as definitive.--MarshalN20 🕊 22:38, 12 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Last name's spelling[edit]

Of course, non-Spanish speaking people have no obligation of knowing Spanish language's accentuation rules. But anyway it should be noted that, being "López" a Hispanic last name, it should be written with an accent mark on the "o". Its absence makes the word sound as if it were an oxytone word, but it's a paroxytone one. Alvabass (talk) 04:57, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Alvabass: The truth is that "Lopez" in English is altogether pronounced differently than in Spanish (particularly the first vowel). Most sources (in English) that write about Lopez do not use the accent mark.--MarshalN20 🕊 23:41, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Date of Birth II[edit]

The New York Times incorrectly stated that his birthday was on May 13 when it is really May 15. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.122.216.158 (talk) 08:00, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
