The same way you put it in; just hit edit and delete most of the copyrighted text (it shouldn't really matter that the text is still in the history -- the history is not visible to search engines). Although the best thing to do is leave in the information but rewrite it in your own words. Facts and information are not copyrightable and I would love to see somebody try to sue us for using their facts and data when we present it in our own words. --mav

Removed it completely. What I meant was that I want to remove a reproduction of the 200 kroner note that I found at http://www.fys.uio.no/plasma/english/texts/birkeland/ and uploaded as /upload/8/8f/NOK200front.png /upload/8/8f/NOK200back.png

Unless the nation of Norway itself is claiming copyright I don't think any simple scan can have a unique and separate copyright. The same is true for any text scaned from a public domain book --just because the book was scanned in last year doesn't mean the the resulting text is not also public domain. -- mav

Uncertain whether Norges Bank does claim copyright on the notes. But I added the original note on reproduction, that I now removed! I don't want to be on thin ice. I'm going to give them a call later. -- Ole

Also, the article titles (all the Norwegian currency denominations, so it seems) should be different. "Kroner" is the Norwegian plural, but English is "krones" and the Swedes and Danes also have the same name for their currency and the same notes, so the title should be something like "Norwegian 100 krones (bank)note". New banknote series (2017–)[edit]

The new 100-krone and 200-krone banknotes were put into circulation on 30 May 2017, while the 50-krone and 500-krone banknotes are expected to come into circulation by the end of 2019. Lastly, the 1000-krone banknote is planned to enter circulation in the course of autumn 2019. The banknotes from the previous series, which are still valid for a year, until 30 May 2018, have already been uploaded to Commons. The previous banknote series was uploaded along with links to the Norwegian Bank's guidelines and a statement saying "© Norges Bank - Used with permission". Is it possible to upload the new 100-krone and 200-krone banknote with specimen overprint under the same use rationale?

Sorry, these were in fact not uploaded to Commons; they were uploaded locally to the English Wikipedia. Nonetheless, I’m wondering if they can be uploaded to Commons, with specimen overprint and resolution lower than 72 dpi.
