Largest shopping complex[edit]

King of Prussia contains the largest shopping complex in the world...

Any sources for this claim? This page says it's the second biggest, after the Mall of America in Minneapolis (4.2 million square feet; KoP has 2.8m, I believe). As noted at Mall of America, even that huge mall is dwarfed by the West Edmonton Mall in Alberta (5.3m sq ft). And they're building an even bigger one (the Mall of Arabia) in Dubai.

Wrong photo[edit]

I regret to inform you that the photo that you are showing is not the relocated King Of Prussia Inn. While I can not identify the buildiing in the photo I can assure you it is not the relocated King Of Prussia Inn where I am sitting while I write this.

KoP Mall vs. Mall of America[edit]

Clarification: The Mall of America in Minneapolis is the largest mall in the U.S. - in terms of total square footage. This includes all of the "attraction" space. However, in terms of pure retail space, the KoP Mall is larger.

I think this distinction is kind of pedantic - and this dispute adds so much controversy that it distracts from the article. I think the assertion of mall size is invalid because it doesn't consider the Mall of America's technicality - that there is more attraction space - and does consider the KoP Mall's technicality - that it's actually two malls. I think the mall should get one sentence of content in this article, and all mall information should be moved to the Mall's article. K.O.P.[edit]

Someone deleted this phrase:

--Residents often refer to King of Prussia in print as "KoP" or "K of P", and in conversation as "K.O.P."--

I grew up in nearby Bucks County and I never heard anyone say this. People referred to the town as "King of Prussia", though the Philly accent tends to render that as "Kinga-Prussha".--Caliga10 (talk) 17:45, 14 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

History of the Inn's Name[edit]

I can't understand why there are two different histories of the naming of the King of Prussia Inn in the pages for "King of Prussia" and the "King of Prussia Inn." Is the problem a lack of reliable sources, or conflicting sources? The only citation on the King of Prussia page is a link to an article by Ben Franklin - which makes no reference to the Inn. Online Retailers[edit]

Take a look at your credit card statement after you make a few online transactions and you will see many online retailers (Ralph Lauren/Polo, Radioshack, iRobot to name a few) show up as located in King of Prussia. Any idea why? Tax reasons, internet hub, data center location? POV tag[edit]

Adding the point of view tag... I think statements like "attesting to the foresight and sophisticated management style of the original Kravco owners and developers" and "Lockheed Martin has a large facility on a hill overlooking the mall as well." really make me think this section got hijacked by some PR person at the mall! Information before the list of local businesses (that are not at the mall) includes: mall visitor traffic, mall holiday visitor traffic, list of restaurants at the mall, name of ownership company, (as noted above) HVAC system configuration of the mall, spectrum type (it's broad, thank goodness) of mall shoppers, list of clothing stores at the mall, square footage of mall, assertion of being the biggest mall - including technicality (under one ownership) that makes assertation true, current owner of mall, former owner of mall, statement that mall is actually two malls connected by a walkway... etc. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.0.151.81 (talk) 07:24, 8 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Geography[edit]

The Historic Rees(e)ville link(s) was/were "not found" and "10 Kings once lived there" is/was pure b.s. Surprised and shocked it lasted this long. The KofP post office was diligently tended by my classmate Mike Morrison's (we U.M. class of 1970) grandmother Lucressa from 1935 to 1958. Don't know about now but at least until 1995 KoP p.o. was officially a branch of Norristown (19401). Mike's book is a must-read. See the History section. Climate[edit]

I commented out the entire section because it links to Weatherbase sites other than King of Prussia and is probably all wrong Also says KoP climate is "humid and subtropical" <groan>.
