Check facts[edit]

Well publicised was; "Aside from a 1996 autobiography detailing the pain behind the last successful years of the band, little has been heard of the flaxen-haired original Rear of the Year. Request page protection for article[edit]

I have requested page protection for the article as Violetriga's unilateral reverting of my adding a balanced view is against policy. It is not allowed to revert such an edit, rather adding the balanced opposing view to an article is good policy. Also Violetriga has abused the 3 revert rule here and also broken the policy of starting an edit war rather than discussion. I've examined the page history. Violetriga has reverted twice; how can this an abuse of the three revert rule? With regard to the article content, I agree with VioletRiga here, your addition is opinion/commentary, which is not appropriate here. — Matt Crypto 20:05, 4 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Controversy[edit]

Article says "When Charlotte Church won in 2002 she was 16 (only just above the age of consent), leading to some controversy about the competition." Is this correct? Seems a bit OTT if it is. DavidFarmbrough (talk) 10:33, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is in fact true (e.g. this article from the Western Mail, this one from the BBC, which makes reference to this article from the Daily Mirror). As of this writing there isn't really a way to put it into the article without it taking up a disproportionate amount of space. -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 21:40, 18 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Coverage[edit]

Lots of news coverage: [2]. I don't think notability can be questioned here.--Michig (talk) 06:37, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
