History section[edit]

This section does not only lack cited sources but also information and a serious writing style. Whom was the land those probably European born/ descendants settlers occupied taken from? Did they all arrive together and begin building in the year given, or was their settlement somewhat established at that time already and recognized/ officially recorded then? Where was the original, indigenous population relocated to, or could they stay somehow? Were those colonizers really all, seeming untypical for "settlers", rich, so that they could idle and do just "A LITTLE farming", as was stated before my changing the first sentences of the section? Or did they live mainly from other sources of food(/income), maybe fishing, hunting? If so, that should be explained. In case all this is described for the (wider, maybe,) region in another Wikipedia article, a hint and link pointing there should be provided, if it was deemed too much detail for this one.

Geography, Land Use[edit]

I came here via a photo on the Ozarks article showing a beautiful, relatively flat, rolling hills meadows landscape -- it was a disappointment not to find any description nor pictures with views of the countryside.

Also, the history section mentions river banks - pictures (and name(s), if I haven't) overlooked them, of the river(s) also would be expected, I'd say?

The meadowy, not so mountainous landscape in that Ozarks Wikipedia article looks like the county geography might (still) very much also (apart from making hay) lend itself to arable farming -- Is that so? If yes, what crops are grown ( -apart from the grapes- -or can it realistically be a total monoculture allover?)? What are the soil types, etc.?

"the (...) courthouse was begun"[edit]
