About her wartime liaison[edit]

"My heart is French but my body is international." The exact translation is "My heart is french but my ass is international." It's not as politically correct, but it's true. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.216.27.106 (talk) 14:40, 22 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

Corrected (& cited for). By the way, if anyone wants to work further on this article, the source I cited for this looks like it has considerable information not currently in the article. - Jmabel | Talk 01:55, 25 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I long suspected "ass" in American English was used as a veiled way of saying "cunt": 'hot ass' etc. Nice to have it confirmed, if conly by checking the French original of that sentence. :D 83.254.151.165 (talk) 16:26, 4 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"horizontal" collaboration with the occupying Nazis[edit]

The statement "many French women behaved in this manner during World War II" sounds a bit smug. It would be helpful if we had some notion of what "many" means, and an authoritative source for this statement. In France this "manner of behavior" was sometimes called "la collaboration horizontale" and women accused of it often had their heads shorn in retribution. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.118.211.248 (talk) 00:12, 28 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Removed the sentence. Philip Cross (talk) 11:07, 28 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Arletty and her german lover[edit]

She met him in 1941. After the Phoney War. Could you please correct this? Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kallort (talkcontribs) 19:40, 27 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Arlette - Arletty[edit]

The article says she took the stage name “Arlette”. There appears to be no explanation of how Arlette became Arletty. I don’t know if there is an error or any omission here, so I will leave it for someone more knowledgeable. Humphrey Tribble (talk) 03:00, 9 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
