Assorted Comments[edit]

Noted for the record: An anonymous contributor who recently edited several DC Comics-related articles signed a comment on Talk:Kryptonite as "MWaid". I wonder... --Paul A 02:34, 17 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Depature from Capt. America?[edit]

Wasn't it due to "editorial differences"? If I remeber correctly, his final issue had to do with the origin of the Red Skull and after the changes made to the story by the editor (without his approval) he asked to have his name removed from the story.

I'm not sure that was his last issue. IIRC the issue you're referring to was #13 and here the credits say he was still around as late as #23. I don't think he moved over to Captain America: Sentinal of Liberty but rather wrote both, although I'm open to correction. Timrollpickering 21:48, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Crossgen[edit]

Anyone know why Mark's time at Crossgen is completely ignored in this article. Should this be corrected?
The Crossgen article mentions Mark and links to this article. I'm still new to this site, but isn't it weird to have a link only go one way? JussD 14:28, 21 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This article needs the B-Class checklist filled in to remain a B-Class article for the Comics WikiProject. If the checklist is not filled in by 7th August this article will be re-assessed as C-Class. The checklist should be filled out referencing the guidance given at Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Assessment/B-Class criteria. For further details please contact the Comics WikiProject. Early onset Dimentia?[edit]

Does he have dimentia or something? He seems to quit social media over imaginary things all the time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.6.191.35 (talk) 13:31, 29 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Bullying Antartic Press[edit]

Anyone going to bother noting in this article how he used his position at marvel to shutdown the 'jawbreakers' publication through them? There is a potential lawsuit in the making.

Do you have a source that can be cited per WP:V, WP:IRS, WP:CS, et al.? Nightscream (talk) 14:19, 21 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
It's an all-out lawsuit now[1], it should probably have its own section. 51.37.18.160 (talk) 02:38, 15 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Legal issues section not notable[edit]

Meyer is a random nobody who's only known for harrassing professional comic book creators and stirring up controversy. His frivolous lawsuit which will undoubtedly be dismissed doesn't deserve anything beyond a passing mention. And even that's being generous. 46.97.170.78 (talk) 09:41, 13 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Notability is not the standard for the inclusion of material, it's the standard for article creation. Nor is the standard the degree of celebrity of an individual mentioned in relation to the article subject. The standard for inclusion of material in an article is coverage by reliable sources, as well as things like relevance. The material in question is covered by Newsarama, CBR.com, Bleeding Cool, etc., which are indeed the publications typically cited in comics-related articles on Wikipedia. For that reason, including the material is reasonable. Nightscream (talk) 03:04, 17 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
