Thank you[edit]

Thank you for diving in and cleaning this mess up, Kingturtle. I didn't know where to begin. Moncrief 05:17, Feb 24, 2005 (UTC)

GOPUSA[edit]

Does GOPUSA warrant its own article? What does everyone think? I'd write up something for it, but I'd hate to have it VfD'd. (It does seem pretty small potatoes; it's only claim to fame is being part of the Gannon/Talon news controversy). TIMBO (T A L K) 18:23, 24 Feb 2005 (UTC)

More needs to be discussed on the Johnny Gosch connection.

Demise of TalonNews.com and JeffGannon.com[edit]

Just curious, I did a quick look via Archive.org and noticed that BOTH domains ( TalonNews.com and JeffGannon.com ) had archived contents starting around the same time ( Spring 2003 ) and ending around the same time ( April 2005 ) ... Does anyone know if either Gannon, or Talon News, have a new "web presence" that picked up on or around the "ending" time found above?

FYI:

http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.talonnews.com/

http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.jeffgannon.com/

PS: above poster, you're correct re. Gannon/Guckert/(Gosch?) -- see http://www.google.com/search?q=Franklin+Gannon+Gosch+Hunter

Return of TalonNews.com[edit]

The new TalonNews seems to be satire. For example,

"I can ignore my own orders," said Cheney, apparently forgetting that George Bush issued the orders. "Besides, we hardly use records at the Veep's office anymore; we've switched over to CDs."

Furthermore, Whois records show that the domain is registered by proxy, while other GopUSA sites are not. SerialJaywalker 01:00, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

NPOV[edit]

I tagged this article because a great deal of sources are MediaMaters, itself a biased "news" outlet, albeit biased the other way. It needs sources from mainstream media. 69.221.160.190 (talk) 04:28, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

agreed, I was just about to do the same —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.79.6.49 (talk) 01:49, 11 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'm adding NYTimes references as well as links to the Internet Archive; for now I left in the MM refs since MM was the original source and the article has sentences like "According to Media Matters" —EqualRights (talk) 14:35, 7 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
