Untitled[edit]

The article immediately raises the question of naming -- "St John" or "St. John"? Ideally, we'd follow what she writes on her own web page, but if she has one, I can't find it. The covers of the first two albums, reproduced on the leaflet for a "2 albums on one CD" by See for Miles Records, clearly show her name without the dot, and this is the main reason why I've skipped the dot. (The minor reason is that it seems an unnecessary complication.) Bridget, if you ever read this, please comment! Hoary 04:35, 27 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Bridget St John and Buffy Sainte-Marie[edit]

On October 23, 2016‎ I edited/expanded this article and added citations. One of the citations was a Chickfactor interview in which Bridget St John stated, "I had been in the south of france with this american girl, buffy sainte-marie. who is, to this day, amazing to me. she’s one of those few people who is political, but can combine it musically so that it’s still very moving."

On February 19, 2017‎ a user credited as "Bridget St. John" deleted my citation and noted, "I have rewritten the lines referring to my time in Aix-en-Provence. The previous writer erron eously stated that I had met Buffy Sainte-MArie when I was in Aix-en-Provenc. Completely false."

This user edited the text in the article to read: "In 1967 Bridget spent 3 months in Aix-en-Provence as part of her French studies. During this period she met American singer-songwriter Robin Frederick."

I apologize if the information I'd added was incorrect. And thank you Bridget for making the correction, if that was indeed you. But could there be a memory mix-up? Granted, Buffy Sainte-Marie is from Canada, not America...And in this YouTube video interview Bridget St John says she met Robin Frederick in Aix-en-Provence. (start at around 4:30 minutes)

Is it possible Bridget St John met both Robin Frederick and Buffy Sainte Marie while in France? Or did Bridget St John meet Buffy Sainte Marie somewhere else and spend time with her? It would be great to know! ~~~~ JJMM

Thinking back upon this now, I realize I shouldn't have asked the above question, because Wikipedia doesn't allow original research, including (I think) information received directly from the article subject. If other editors can find references to clarify the meetings of Buffy Sainte-Marie and Robin Frederick, please add. -JJMM (talk) 09:03, 31 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Robin Frederick states that she and Bridget met in Aix-en-Provence. Perhaps Bridget was mixed up when she spoke to Chickfactor. -- 2600:8802:571B:E00:6D69:DDDA:F251:5652 (talk) 07:11, 30 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
