what's a CPE?[edit]

It has the TLA near the end of the article, "CPE", is this a typo, or an actual acronym/abbrev.?

CPE stands for Continuing Professional Education.

Beginnings?[edit]

Does the AICPA have a specific beginning, and when and how?

The AICPA came from the merger of two competing organizations, circa 1920. Although the AICPA still controls the CPA exam, there are other CPA organizations.

External Roles Section[edit]

This section needs additional expansion or else the section should be deleted entirely. The bulk of the section simply focuses on the legal status of CPAs--not the AICPA or members of the AICPA--with respect to representation of clients with the IRS. (Aside: What about tax court?) Since it does not deal with the AICPA--there is no requirement that CPAs belong to the AICPA, and hundreds of thousands of CPAs do not--only the remaining sentence--"The AICPA is a leading member of the International Federation of Accountants and the Global Accounting Alliance"--addresses an external role of the AICPA, and the mention is merely cursory. Other external roles should be identified, and all--including the only one noted to date--should be described in more detail. Failing these changes, the section should be deleted. Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page[edit]

If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request its removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.
