Article title[edit]

is there a better way to name this ... no middle name, occupation is same as all the other Pinckney s ... dml

Could we call him Charles Pinckney (Attorney General)? --OpenToppedBus - Talk to the driver 13:15, 27 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

OK, scratch that - at least one of the others also held that role. How about we just call him Charles Pinckney, and move the material from there to Charles Pinckney (disambiguation)? --OpenToppedBus - Talk to the driver 13:19, 27 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Right now, this article is named "Charles Pinckney (father)". Now Charles Pinckney (governor) was also a father, so father is not a terribly good disambiguator. It doesn't appear that there is another Charles Pinckney who was South Carolina chief justice, so I will go ahead and use that as the disambiguator.
