Active Dates[edit]

The 12e RBC was not created in 1871. They unofficially trace their lineage to the Three Rivers Regiment, but it is not recognized by the CF.

Yes they were, see here [1] --70.29.217.172 (talk) 15:24, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The Character ᵉ[edit]

The character ᵉ (modifier letter small e) is not supported on many platforms, and it won't be recognized by search engines as an e: after Google reindexes this page, a search for "12e" won't return this page in the search results. In fact, for this and other reasons, the World Wide Web Consortium and the Unicode Consortium have deprecated this character and other superscript characters on the WWW, recommending superscript markup instead (see Unicode in XML and other Markup Languages. Therefore I am reverting &#7497 to e. Indefatigable 00:35, 17 Apr 2005 (UTC)

That W3 document looks like a useful reference, which I haven't seen before. I'm suggesting leaving it un-superscripted "12e", since the superscript in this case is simply a style decision and carries no meaning. The regular letter e works fine, and doesn't cause ugly line space to be added above. Michael Z. 2005-04-17 00:49 Z

English translation?[edit]

I don't speak French. What is the name of this regiment in English. Most multilingual names on w/p are translated into English as well. Ozdaren 14:08, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Indefatigable for the English translation. Ozdaren 15:04, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Regimental nicknames[edit]

What? No mention of the regiment's nicknames? For the information of those who take an interest in such things, 12 RBC has long been known in the Canadian Army as "Twelve Rubber Boot Company" in English and "Douzième rangée de beaux caves" (loosely in English, "12th Line-up of Real Dummies").Ab.chaplin (talk) 17:34, 1 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
