Untitled[edit]

I have no idea what "His band had a demo cassette tape in 1989 since their first carrer before they released all their albums" means. If I even knew what that was supposed to be, I'd edit the grammar. Anyone have a guess?

updating[edit]

this needs some serious updating, the blackcrowes are back together and touring as we speak, and kurt russell is not hudson's step-dad, he and goldy hawn have never been married.

ethnic back ground[edit]

According to kate Hudson in Irish magzine Chris has some polish jew blood in him. Does anyone else know his back ground better ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Irishmonk (talkcontribs) 03:52, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, he is half-Jewish (ethnically speaking...)... and could you have said that more vulgarly: "jew blood in him." you said like hitler's men when rounding up people suspected of not fitting the aryan mold. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.198.139.66 (talk) 20:57, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Chris Robinson or the Black Crowes?[edit]

I realize that any discussion of Chris Robinson must necessarily include discussion of the Black Crowes. However, this article seems to be more about the Black Crowes and less about the person Chris Robinson. When and where was he born? What was his life like growing up? How did he get into music in the first place? These and other questions would be much more appropriate, it would seem, in a biographical article about a specific person, rather than defining the person solely by the musical group they happen to be in…

Exactly. The article, to a very large degree, merely re-treads The Black Crowes autobiography. Can someone re-visit this page and make it more appropriate to the subject matter. Also, please sign your comments (as below). Thanks,

I will try to rewrite the article to make it not so much about The Black Crowes but more about Chris Robinson.

Now, Chris![edit]

Ok, so I re-did the article to suit more of a personal biography rather than that of The Black Crowes. If anyone has any more info please add because all I did was a rough outiline. (Crowes.garden 21:35, 29 April 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Disambiguation change proposed[edit]

This is not the only "Chris/Christopher" Robinson that is a musician. The other musician seems to go by his full name, Christopher, which this one does not. Could we have a 'Chris Robinson (musician)' and leave the other as 'Christopher Robinson (musician)'? I think perhaps we should distinguish them by either nationality (potentially a problem in the future, maybe) or by genre. It's not like Chris Robinson is merely a singer; he is a musician beyond his voice as instrument. Any thoughts?--SidP (talk) 18:32, 31 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

He is notable as a singer. There are a number of people in the entertainment industry with this name. Personally I think this is the clearest way of putting it. Karst (talk) 19:08, 31 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Personal Life[edit]

The final sentence under personal life seems overly cynical. They married in 2009 but have not announced yet that they will get divorced. Is there any reason to believe that they are headed for divorce other than the fact that this is a celebrity marriage? “In 2009, Robinson married Allison Bridges. Their daughter, Cheyenne Genevieve Robinson, was born on December 26, 2009. No divorce has yet been announced.”
