Packaging costs?[edit]

When Very came out, I remember reading somewhere about how much extra money the special CD jewel case cost - if my recollection is right PSB themselves fronted the CD packaging cost which was quite an outrageous amount for its time, there was some quote about them being unable to recoup cost of packaging even if they sold a million copies. Anyone remember details of this? Is it mentioned in Catalogue?

Red Letter Day[edit]

The second paragraph of this article relates to the chart performance of a track that is not even part of this album. I know it is informative, but is it relevant here? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.108.145.10 (talk) 15:06, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Loudness War[edit]

The CD version of Very was a milestone in the Loudness War. It exhibited a notorious detriment in sound quality compared to their previous work. The recorded volume is too high and the music's dynamic range was reduced. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 181.47.158.95 (talk) 23:35, 5 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I couldn't agree more. I remember my first listenings of the album, trying to adjust all my equipment's knobs because it sounded terrible on CD. Several years later, I got the chance to listen to the original vinyl release, and the quality doesn't get much better.

Confusing first sentence[edit]

Hi, there was a post over at WP:EAR earlier which complained about the structure of the opening sentence of this article. I agree, it's kind of confusing, and probably should be reworded. It says that Very is PSB's 7th album, and the fifth of "previously unreleased music". If I'm understanding this correctly, it's their seventh album released, but of those seven, two were compilation or similar and contained no new music. —/Mendaliv//Δ's/ 21:46, 16 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, this is probably not an issue anymore. Following discussion at the aforementioned EAR thread, I've BOLDly changed the wording. —/Mendaliv//Δ's/ 22:48, 16 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
