Infobox[edit]

I do not see why there is a necessary use of a template called "Infobox Philippine High School" when "Infobox Secondary School" has been around as an available standard that is more widely used. The Philippine High School infobox template is incomplete, and is really just redundancy which serves no practical purpose. The Secondary School infobox can be used with proper adjustment to labels and information. Rmcsamson 06:59, 26 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I completely agree! But until such time, Infobox Philippine High School is here to stay. :) { PMGOMEZ } 06:56, 26 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Quesci logo.jpg[edit]

Image:Quesci logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Background Information Added[edit]

Hi everyone!

In view of the need of researchers to have a school background in their Action Research (per Department of Education Requirement), I have added vital information and demographics regarding our school in this page; however, two editors named Dewritech and ScrapIronIV keep on reverting these additions. Can I ask how to make these contributions a part of the WikiSchools thing? Thanks. 49.144.245.144 (talk) 19:52, 20 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The needs of those researchers or the Department of Education are not Wikipedia's responsibility. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and such trivial detail is not appropriate for an encyclopedia. The school needs to use its own website for that purpose. ScrpIronIV 20:17, 20 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Reply to ScrapIronIV[edit]

You are talking about this article being encylopedic when in fact you yourself do not have a clear information as to what "encyclopedic" really means. As indicated by Merriam Webster, "encyclopedic" is defined as:

"of, relating to, or suggestive of an encyclopedia or its methods of treating or covering a subject : comprehensive <an encyclopedic mind> <an encyclopedic collection of armor>" [1]

Further, if you use the define:encyclopedic string at Google Search, it would be giving you this definition:

en·cy·clo·pe·dic
inˌsīkləˈpēdik,enˌsīkləˈpēdik/
adjective
adjective: encyclopedic; adjective: encyclopaedic
comprehensive in terms of information.
"he has an almost encyclopedic knowledge of food"
synonyms: comprehensive, complete, thorough, thoroughgoing, full, exhaustive, in-depth, wide-ranging, all-inclusive, all-embracing, all-encompassing, universal, vast; formalcompendious
"his encyclopedic knowledge of food"
relating to or containing names of famous people and places and information about words that is not simply linguistic.
"a dictionary with encyclopedic material"
[2]

Is there a grievance mechanism for Wikipedia? I am hoping that the higher-ranking administrators of Wikipedia would look into this matter. I would like to believe I'm being suppressed by these two "editors". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 112.211.195.230 (talk) 02:47, 21 November 2015 (UTC) 112.211.195.230 (talk) 03:13, 21 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please read WP:NOT. Also, we are all volunteers here, there are no "ranks" - but we do have administrators. Everyone's work is subject to review by all other editors. Wikipedia works by consensus; but even if you gain consensus that this article does not have to abide by policy, policy wins anyway. Nobody is trying to suppress you; much as you "would like to believe." ScrpIronIV 14:52, 21 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
