More Info?[edit]

Don't we have more about his religious or ethnic background, especially considering that he was a U.S. Senator and very wealthy and influential person? --172.164.81.126 08:07, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rank[edit]

Why would he only be a Staff Sargeant if he enlisted already possessing an MBA? Something is wrong. AnteaterZot (talk) 00:31, 19 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sons[edit]

Are we sure his two sons are famous enough to warrant their own Wiki pages?? --M. Frederick (talk) 11:57, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Correct linking[edit]

John Heinz III is linked to Teresa Heinz as her former husband. However, in the section regarding his death it states that his wife Lucia died on the plane with him, and also that they had one son. There must be a mistake here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.73.9.42 (talk) 04:05, 12 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

WP:COMMONNAME, WP:NATURALDIS, as well as "keeping things simple." Doesn't make sense to use generational suffixes for people who didn't use the same name.

"Jack Heinz" is the more common name for the second Henry Heinz, as written in the 2001 book International Directory of Company Histories [1], 2006 book H.J. Heinz Company, and 2009 book Luck of O'Reilly: A Biography of Tony O'Reilly. As for Google search results: "Jack Heinz" has 8000+ results, to only 6500+ for "H. J. Heinz II".

Also, the US senator was known as simply John during his political career and after his death, as shown in these sources:
