1940s?[edit]

This page needs major sections covering 1. the influence of WWII and Big Band music 2. the creation of modern orchestrations, vis-a-vis Gershwin, Rogers, and the beginnings of avante garde orchestra

10 years later this is still lacking. I don't see much here that isn't in 1950s in music The emphasis is on the 1950s so much that 1940s should probably just be dropped from the title. (It already seems to be written that way.) Any objections? DougHill (talk) 03:28, 18 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Untitled[edit]

Someone edited the first section with stupid things like "The state of canada". Grow up. Since I don't want to do the research I am not going to fix it, but it should be fixed. -Winter123 (talk) 14:37, 25 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bluegrass and roots revival[edit]

I for one think that the bluegrass and roots revival sections should be combined. All the roots revival section is talking about is the revival of Appalachian folk music and bluegrass, which is also what the bluegrass section talks about.
