The full text of the constitution is a dead link, from what I can see. --Zahra 02:28, Dec 13, 2004 (UTC)

2005 Constitution[edit]

Could we say there's a Constitution o 2005? (Appart from government "advertising") Of what i've been reading, there is some kind of dispute among academics, whether this Constitution should be called of 1980, 1989 or 2005. It seems to me the issue is not 100% solved.

Exactly... Although, strictly speaking is 1980 Constitution, only amended in 2005... Not a new constitution --Yakoo 21:37, 1 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
There is no such thing as a "2005 Constitution." The Chilean Constitution is the 1980 one, with amendments. --maxatl (talk) 04:14, 16 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The academic dispute exists. But it is not a great controversy. It doesn't make any difference in the everyday application of the constitution.--Wgarciamachmar (talk) 16:35, 16 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Army/Air Force Links[edit]

The various Army and Air Force links on this page don't go to a page about Chile's Army or Air Force, but to the general-purpose Army page and Air Force disambiguation page. I'm not really sure what to link them to, since there probably isn't enough information about Chile's military to warrant a page about them. Should we just remove the links? Direct them to the general-info pages? --Mechcozmo 00:33, 29 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

English Translation[edit]

The link to the english translation (pdf) takes to the original 1980 text. That should be stated, or the link should be erased. --maxatl (talk) 04:14, 16 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This article needs big improvement[edit]

I came to the article to see what the constitution says. No information at all. Just that there was a referendum to rewrite it. This is just crappy.

I will try to fix it but it needs help.

To add to article[edit]

To add to this article: mention of American economist James M. Buchanan's role in helping to craft this constitution, while working as advisor to the Augusto Pinochet regime in 1980. 173.88.246.138 (talk) 16:23, 1 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have any supporting refs that could be used to add that? - Indefensible (talk) 06:20, 29 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
