Untitled[edit]

I added the Wikify tag because this is just a copy and paste of the guy's faculty webpage. That's ok -- my JP Mallory article was derived mostly from this type of source, but it was Wikified. --Jpbrenna 22:54, 14 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

New Article[edit]

It's at the temp page, and I think it passes copyright muster. The sources were his faculty homepage, the essay Why Tamil is a Classical Language and the Alibris listings of his books that are for sale. It's stubby, but at least it's not a copy/paste dump of copyrighted material! --Jpbrenna 04:54, 28 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

His Tamil Qualitification[edit]

The article starts with by saying "He is a tamil professor", but goes on to immediately say "He has a PhD in Sanskrit"... His qualifications on Tamil and his transition to Tamil teaching is not clearly mentioned... Was he a Tamil professor who went on to acquire a Sanskrit PhD? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.164.153.34 (talk) 03:32, 6 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sudalaimuthu Palaniappan[edit]

@Kautilya3: Suda who?

  • ON THE UNINTENDED INFLUENCE OF JAINISM ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF CASTE IN POST-CLASSICAL TAMIL SOCIETY has been cited only five times since 2008. In contrast, Chakravarti has been cited 254 times, and Samuel 184 times.
  • Hagiography Versus History: The Tamil Pāṇar in Bhakti-Oriented Hagiographic Texts and Inscriptions is self-published

Looks like someone is pushing Sudalaimuthu Palaniappan, using Hart as a WP:COATRACK. Ah right, an scholar, who "has worked for several years in the transportation and information technology industries", and also wrote two articles on Tamil literarture, one of which was published.
