His birth name should read John "Jackie" Roosevelt Robinson

Josh Donaldson and use of the word "Jackie" as a racial slur[edit]

Not sure why @Muboshgu removed my original post..

Where is there a source, or confirmed proof that the use of the word "Jackie" is a racist slur?

"Jackie" was used to identify Tim Anderson during a scuffle between Tim and Josh during a Yankees-White Sox game. The media (especially The Root) used this opportunity to brand it a racist term.

Josh Donaldson should be absolved of any wrongdoing. 206.84.252.154 (talk) 18:39, 19 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

No need to absolve anyone of anything on Jackie Robinson's page, as the incident is not mentioned in the entry. It seems that Anderson referred to himself as the new Jackie, and Donaldson gave him a hard time about that silly comparison a few times. One of those times, Anderson got upset. It seems to have blown over quickly and remains too trivial to mention on Robinson's page. Larry Hockett (Talk) 18:58, 19 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Why do you think I removed this post? It should be obvious. – Muboshgu (talk) 19:09, 19 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
