This article says that System of a Down is a Heavy Metal band but they are a Nu Metal/Alternative Metal band BQWR (talk) 15:49, 30 March 2024 (UTC)
- Not done - It says they are by nu metal and alternative metal in the infobox and musical style section. The lead genre is supposed to be broad. That's why we call them a heavy metal band in the lead sentence. Bowling is life (talk) 17:15, 30 March 2024 (UTC)
SOAD played Ozzfest 97 on the main stage.[edit]
They were on the main stage along with Coal Chamber. They were very reminiscent of Rage. 167.224.147.166 (talk) 03:43, 19 May 2024 (UTC)
Incorrect Genres[edit]
System of a Down isn't Hard Rock as it is not a form of loud, aggressive rock music, but purely metal. It's not progressive metal either, they don't have any track that is composed in a "progressive" way. Nu Metal and Alt Metal are more relevant and enough to describe them Thomsah (talk) 08:42, 30 May 2024 (UTC)

The line "Like Mezmerize, it debuted at No. 1 in the U.S., making System of a Down, along with The Beatles and rappers 2Pac and DMX, the only artists ever to have two studio albums debut at No. 1 in the same year." Should be updated to include Taylor Swift as she joined this list in 2020.

Maybe something like "Like Mezmerize, it debuted at No. 1 in the U.S., making System of a Down, along with The Beatles, rappers 2Pac and DMX, and Taylor Swift, the only artists ever to have two studio albums debut at No. 1 in the same year.
But instead of having this line be a history of all artists that have ever had two number one albums in the same year, it would probably be best to time bound it.
"Like Mezmerize, it debuted at No. 1 in the U.S. With this release, System of a Down joined The Beatles and rappers 2Pac and DMX as the fourth artist ever to have two studio albums debut at No. 1 in the same year." Csarkrasc (talk) 18:38, 13 June 2024 (UTC)
