Title of article
[edit]Should this be at Lalla Salma, Princess Consort of Morocco, to match the articles on Henrik, Prince Consort of Denmark and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh? The article states that she is styled as The Princess Consort. Just trying to keep WP consistent. Thanks. Prsgoddess187 00:59, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
- That situation is not too clear, she does not commonly seem to be known as that. In this case we take the name that is officialy used (Princess Lalla Salma of Morocco) but nothing with consort or queen or the likes. Gryffindor 21:33, 8 December 2005 (UTC)
That's okay, just trying to keep everything uniform. Prsgoddess187 02:38, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
"Lalla" is an honorific, not a name, is it not? Perhaps the article should make that clear?Lolliapaulina51 (talk) 19:38, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
Queen
[edit]I know she is not queen. But I have heard, that they were discussions about giving her such a title. But if there is no such tradition, how could that title have been discussed, if it does not excist in this country? Or have there been a queen before? Does Morocco have this title?--85.226.43.36 (talk) 16:47, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
- Good point. As this is the english Wikipedia and modern english speakers are accustomed to a king's spouse being a queen, I'm sure its worth explaining why it doesn't seem to be the case in Morocco.--~ ~ : Lincoln Cooper : ~ ~ (talk) 00:59, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

Divorce?
[edit]The article should reflect the important point of reports of her divorce from King Mohammed, which by now are well past the realm of rumor. The relatively pro-government Morocco World News reported on an interview in the French tabloid Gala with her lawyer (the well-known Éric Dupond-Moretti) in which he denied any tension or custody dispute between Lalla Salma and the king. The article referred to Lalla Salma as "ex-épouse" and MWN repeated that language by calling her the King's "ex-wife". There has never been any confirmatory statement, but the lack of a denial, or what in this case would be a correction, is significant and obviously noteworthy. --Varavour (talk) 16:29, 19 August 2019 (UTC)
- should she still be refered to as his consort then? EmilySarah99 (talk) 03:11, 8 October 2022 (UTC)
NYPost:
The King of Morocco’s wife, Lalla Salma is nicknamed the “Ghost Princess” by the press. Once a visible force on the international royal scene, she has only been seen a handful of times in public — but never in Morocco — over the last two years, following a rumored divorce...

Year long vandalism on mother's last name
[edit]Vandalism on her mother's last name going on for a year. Mostly unregistered editors perpetrated it. It is vandalism because:
-"Bennanni" has been put as her last name despite reference for Naima BENSOUDA as her mother's name;
-Also, "Bennanni" in a wrong orthograph of Lalla Salma's last name (Bennani), most likely used to have the ''0 bytes addition'' on the edit history. And so that it goes unnoticed;
-Finally for a year her mother's last name has been the biggest TARGET of any unreferenced edits: no source cite "Bennanni" as Lalla Salma's mother's name.
Can we protect the page? Meaning a long term protection of the page? Because really letting such frequent/repetitive deliberate obstruction of the page's project purpose is wrong. AvaBrandon2000 (talk) 19:17, 17 December 2022 (UTC)
Deleting biography headings
[edit]Hello @S0091. You have deleted Headings made of well sourced details of Lalla Salma's bio to compact all into a single heading titled: Biography. It's wrong. I couldn't revert it since you edited the source manually.
You told me on Revision History that my addition for the Mosque named in her tribute should be summarized further. Reasonable, I could have done it, but I see you did it. However, the problem is that you've deleted everyone's well referenced additions of her bio, englobing: the Foundation Against Cancer she created, her other international health engagements and the explanations about the status of her "public role": which is unprecedented in the history of the country. I think it should be remediated. Thank you.--~~~ AvaBrandon2000 (talk) 09:37, 16 September 2023 (UTC)
- @AvaBrandon2000 you also left a note on my talk page and just noticed this. See User talk:S0091#Deleting bio headings for my response and please keep discussion in one place in the future. In a nutshell, I have no issue with you reverting my changes but most what I removed was unsourced or poorly sourced such as Hello! which is a tabloid so not a good source to use (see WP:Reliable sources/Noticeboard/Archive 267#Hello! Magazine). If you think the content should be kept, you need to find reliable sources or it will likely be removed again. S0091 (talk) 14:50, 16 September 2023 (UTC)
