I think you may have to be more lenient with party games than you would be with, say, scientific theories. It should be enough that this game is played be many groups around the world (some of whom keep their card archives online and some of whom actually play online) and that the article, to my eyes, is sufficiently well written. I think it could be improved by adding the history of the game rather than just linking to an external history (which doesn't seem to be working) and by putting in some sample cards. I have personally played the game with a group of people in Southampton, UK, who claim to have played it frequently (although no past cards were used in our game, everyone was given five minutes before the start of the game to draw a few cards of their own). The game is most certaily widely played. I was introduced to it under this name in Madison, Wisconsin several years ago. It's still a popular party game among my friends. Oh, and I added a link to archive.org's archive of the original author's page. The original page appears to be long gone. Anyone interested in more info?[edit]

I have no clue how many active 1000 BWC players there are currently, so I'm not sure how much content I should add to this. I've been quite involved with this game at various points, and I own a large stash of cards from the first few years of the game in Madison, Wisconsin. Incidentally, I'm trying to track down the GAMES issue - August 2002 by one Adam Fromm, includes history, anyone in the States is free to try - and found that 1000 Blank White Cards is indeed listed in Hoyle's (3rd Revised and Updated Edition). Found some more coverage, too, but it requires a subscription... for the moment. I'm planning to work on this article in the future, make it more comprehensible and sensible and all that, so if you get the impulse to maybe do something involving nominations and deletion, please drop me a note first. It's always advisable to err for caution with articles on bizarre subjects, even the wise are known to make mistakes with them and AfDs tend to be bitter and protracted (those who were around for at least the fifth and sixth nomination and second review know what in particular I'm talking about *shudder*, and this one has no RS issues). --Kizor 11:30, 17 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Alternative Ways of playing[edit]

I have an alternative way of playing this game that is a hair more complicated and restricting, but only to prevent people from playing cards that end the game. Here's the link to my site [1000 BWC]. Disagree. "A Thousand" is non-standard English, and while I've heard the game called "One Thousand Blank White Cards", I've never heard it called "A Thousand..." (thank God, says the guy with the English degree). A quick Yahoo search suggests that "1000 Blank White..." is used more frequently than "One Thousand..."
