Your Bot[edit]

User:Escarbot seems to be removing interwiki links to Wikipedias in other languages (I noticed after seeing an interwiki for the Peru page to the Aymara language Wikipedia removed by this bot). In the bots user page you state that its purpose is to: This robot currently under test will only be used to make interwiki links. If its purpose is only to make interwiki links then why is it removing so many? [1]--Jersey Devil 22:06, 13 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your bot has been blocked by an administrator. [2] Please contact the blocking admin (that being User:Pschemp) after this problem is fixed. Thank you.--Jersey Devil 22:22, 13 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Again[edit]

I've blocked an IP, which could be your bot logged out[3]. If this is your bot, please remedy the situation. Thanks, Yanksox 23:34, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,
No, it is not my bot.
But is seems to have the same bug I had removing mk: links.

Esarbot and computer and video games by year[edit]

The computer and video games by year categories interwiki links are managed by the template {{cvg year interwiki}}. Please have your bot remove it's edits to those categories and tell it to no longer update them. Dread Lord CyberSkull ✎☠ 01:51, 12 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Accidental damage (Escarbot)[edit]

Please note that Escarbot has unintentionally reverted edits to the following articles:

I restored them, but the bot probably needs to be fixed to make sure it saves to the intended revision. —Piet Delport 00:35, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Escarbot again[edit]

Here we go again. I've temporarily blocked Escarbot for mishandling some interwiki year links from pi:, as I commented on your fr: talk page. I see you've cleaned up some other edits to 2060s, which I appreciate. I should have caught those myself. Nonetheless, perhaps you should set Escarbot not to follow redirects for year articles? — Arthur Rubin | (talk) 17:53, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Escarbot restored vandalism[edit]

In this edit, Escarbot restored vandalism that had previously been inserted by 88.159.75.185 (talk · contribs). I don't know what caused it to happen, and if it has happened on other articles as well, but I just wanted to let you know. AecisBrievenbus 01:42, 12 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Antogny-le-Tillac[edit]

What source do you have for moving Antogny le Tillac to Antogny-le-Tillac? According to INSEE, the former name is the correct one. See here. Regards, Kiwipete (talk) 01:23, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. With the script in place, you can continue with this functionality indefinitely (its use is governed by WP:MINOR). If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:09, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What do you mean?[edit]

I've had multiple links to other language Wikipedias for ages and they've done nothing except make navigation easier. Several of the articles I edit are merged from other articles. So they contain information which in foreign language Wikipedias is split between different articles. So the wikilinks to both articles make perfect sense. Serendipodous 18:12, 4 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The Bogeyman article contains links to many different subjects, such as Babau, Sack Man and Torbalan, which are separate articles on other Wikipedias. How can one navigate to those other Wikipedias unless multiple links are allowed? Serendipodous 17:37, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Linking to cy:Taiwan in the sidebar[edit]

I've started a discussion on the talk page of the article. Please consider giving your opinion there. Thanks. wctaiwan (talk) 08:14, 8 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Deletion discussion about Laissez les bon temps rouler[edit]

Hello, Vargenau,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Laissez les bon temps rouler should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Laissez les bon temps rouler .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks, Geoff | Who, me? 20:45, 5 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

ISO/IEC 5230 moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, ISO/IEC 5230, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Your submission at Articles for creation: ISO/IEC 5230 has been accepted[edit]

ISO/IEC 5230, which you submitted to Articles for creation, has been created.

Congratulations, and thank you for helping expand the scope of Wikipedia! We hope you will continue making quality contributions.

The article has been assessed as Stub-Class, which is recorded on its talk page. It is commonplace for new articles to start out as stubs and then attain higher grades as they develop over time. You may like to take a look at the grading scheme to see how you can improve the article.

Since you have made at least 10 edits over more than four days, you can now create articles yourself without posting a request. However, you may continue submitting work to Articles for creation if you prefer.

If you have any questions, you are welcome to ask at the help desk. Once you have made at least 10 edits and had an account for at least four days, you will have the option to create articles yourself without posting a request to Articles for creation.

If you would like to help us improve this process, please consider leaving us some feedback.

Thanks again, and happy editing!
