I believe Miami-Dade County is just a combination of the city and county administrations, since Miami is such a large city. The county itself is just named Dade County. H2O 12:13, 24 Aug 2004 (UTC)

No, the name was officially changed to Miami-Dade County in 1998, I believe. Mike H 12:15, Aug 24, 2004 (UTC)
I stand corrected. I thought I knew what I was talking about, but I left Florida in 1995 and things change. H2O 12:38, 24 Aug 2004 (UTC)
