Should this be moved to "Job shop"? Avocado 15:52, Apr 16, 2005 (UTC)

This entry seems to undesirably straddle two definitions for the term drawn from different domains. The first is a business meaning, according to which a job shop is a particular qualitative kind of factory. The second is an operations research scheduling meaning, according to which a "job shop" is a specific abstract model of manufacturing scheduling. It is this latter meaning that leads to the mentioning of NP hardness. A particular class of UK factory enterprise can't be NP hard! It's the abstract mathematical problem that's NP hard.Rpgoldman (talk) 19:45, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There's exactly ONE picture of a job shop in the wikimedia commons. Lbertolotti (talk) 15:15, 11 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
