Callsign origins[edit]

I removed the reference to the callsign STW9 standing for Swan Television Western Australia as I think it is merely apocryphal and largely irrelevant. The W is mandated by the Australian Broadcasting Authority (similarly, in WA 6 is mandated for radio stations), and the licence holder gets to nominate the other letters. --Kjd 13:01, 16 Aug 2004 (UTC)
