Fawcett5 is a very dedicated Wikipedian. With 8007 edits since the first one last November, Fawcett5 has contributed greatly to two featured articles, and has done a great deal of writing outside the featured pages. Questions for the candidate
A few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:

1. What sysop chores, if any, would you anticipate helping with? (Please read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.)
A. While I primarily consider myself a "content editor", with 3500+ pages on my watchlist I inevitably find myself spending an ever increasing amount of time dealing with vandalism. The rollback feature would be a real boon. I can also see myself helping out with RC patrol in new way, and contributing to out-of-the-way nooks and crannies of administrivia such as Tfd that sometimes develop a backlog.
2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
A. Well, there is no question that so far Louis Riel is my pièce de résistance — this was almost completely rewritten to bring it to FA status. I normally specialize in biography on a smaller scale, of which Albert Lacombe and John Macoun are good examples. I've also had a couple of cute articles on ...Did you know? of which I'm fond — see for instance Society for the Prevention of Calling Sleeping Car Porters George and Marie-Anne Gaboury. I also write a bit about rail related topics, see for instance Consolidated line and The Canadian. Finally, I have initiated a long-term project to create an article for every person with an article in the Dictionary of Canadian Biography, and have made extensive efforts to add DoCB citations to every applicable article, as this is a wonderful and authoritative biographical resource.
3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and will deal with it in the future?
A. There have been some stressful moments, but not too much direct conflict. The worst direct conflict probably came when I was very new to the project and heatedly squabbled with User:Agriculture over what constitutes a research university. I made some comments to him the tone of which I now regret (see for instance this talk page here, where I accused him of "Talking out his ass"). But anyway, I think we ended on good terms, and I know better than that now. I was also on the sidelines of the style wars, but managed not to get caught up in the worst of it. The most stressful situation has definitely been my involvement with the Alexander MacGregor article. I found this as a vanity article, and in an attempt to establish the individual's notability, found out some unsavoury details about the fellow which I added to the article. There were legal threats to the wikimedia foundation, and the article is currently on Vfd. All I can say about this is that I was acting in good faith when I added the information (which was all from newspaper articles and court documents), that I do not know MacGregor personally and am not out to get him, and that I have not opposed the deletion of the article.
