Which Mitsubishi G4M?[edit]

The "Design and Development" section tells us that "The MXY-7 Navy Suicide Attacker Ohka was a manned flying bomb that was usually carried underneath a Mitsubishi G4M2e Model 24J 'Betty' bomber to within range of its target." However, the closest variant name listed in the Mitsubishi G4M article is the "G4M2e Model 24 Tei." Which is correct? Or, if synomymous, should we use consistent nomenclature in both articles? 24J or 24 Tei?

I can confirm that the text in this article matches the cited source, the designation is also repeated in the source's pages on the G4M. The variants section in the G4M article has no citations at all. Most likely a difference in the multiple Japanese designation/naming systems in use at the time. Francillon notes that the 'E' versions were modified and re-designated 'B' and 'C' versions. Nimbus (Cumulus nimbus floats by) 11:10, 1 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
