Neither source looks particularly reliable to me. And in either case, I don't think the cheat code is all that famous... so I believe it should be removed from cheat code.

Well, as a DOOM player, I think it's pretty well known. Anyway, it's your call ... I'm very happy to be a Wikipedian but I'm still not sure if you can 'see' my responses to your questions on this page.

I'm a Doom player too, but I don't think I've heard of this one. And note that although the code may be generally accepted to mean something, this meaning may simply have been made up by some random person 10 years ago.

Because, the linked content on Wikibooks doesn't belong on Wikibooks. The site is supposed to be for educationally valuable resources, textbooks and annoted public domain works, things which could be used in actual classroom environments - video game walkthroughs do not really align themselves to this goal. I don't see "P.S. game guides" at the end of "A collection of free educational textbooks and learning materials." Such content is to either be deleted outright or moved to other sites - there is no Wikimedia site for this content, try Wikicities. Janizary 16:52, 8 October 2005 (UTC)

3D Monster Maze

Thanks for your kind words. A lot of recent changes that you've seen are a result of comments and insights that followed putting it up at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/3D Monster Maze/archive2. You're welcome to add more ideas about what this article is missing yet to become an FA, and, of course, to take part in improving it towards that goal! As for your question about my involvement with the game other than playing, I must say that back then (when I encountered the game) I was just 10 years old, and just started my programming (on an Elektronika B3-34, a predecessor of Elektronika MK-61 first, and then in BASIC — first Sharp PC-1245, and than on that very ZX81 where I played The Game).

On the same occasion, let me thank you for your significant contributions to the ZX81 article!

P.S. I am confused a bit about your significant contributions claim now, btw. The above thanks was based on the assertion you made on your user page (and I am not retracting them as you probably know what you're saying); but what puzzles me is that the history of the ZX81 article doesn't list any "Jones" substring there — did you do anything as an anon? And, come to think of it, the only change you made to the Attribute clash was an anon vandalism revert... did you work from an anon IP/another login in one of these cases?

Redlinks

Hi, I noticed you reverted an edit on the Imagine Software page with the rationale "rv edit by User:207.112.74.225 since the whole point is that if the links are red they should be created". Per WP style guidelines, redlinks should only be created if the creating editor genuinely feels they will become a notable article, and if that editor is personally willing to create those articles in the near future. More info at WP:CONTEXT. To create the links in good faith in the first place is fair enough, but to revert a perfectly legitimate redlink cleanup indicates your willingness to create all those articles. As it stands it just makes it look like Imagine didn't create many notable games, potentially calling the notability of Imagine themselves into question. Deizio 04:48, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

Laputa robot image

I reverted your new-version of Image:Laputa-robot-ghibli.jpg, as, although it's a nice picture, and higher resolution, it's your own photograph of the same object, not actually the original uploader's picture. This is needlessly confusing, especially as he has this in a gallery in his user space. Could you upload your image under a new name to Wikipedia:Commons instead, then the image links in the articles can be changed to point to that. Has the added benefit of being able to be used in other (language) projects without copying the picture across. --zippedmartin 21:50, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

comma seperated, and delimited

I know you suggested merging them, but I disagree. Comma seperated files have a lot that's different from other simply delimited files. They should refer to each other certainly, but they are sperate formats.

And if anything merge it the other way. Make delimited the main article, because comma delimited could be a subset of that (although a larger subset - comma delimited is the only delimiter that can handle newlines in data fields, and that has a method of escaping the delimiter).

Before reverting any other redirects, please put it to a vote. And if you don't agree that delimited should be the main article, then ask about that as well in the vote.

lkcl 22sep2006 - richard, need your help: a page called NBNS has been incorrectly redirected to NBT. as explained on the talk page of NBNS, this is misleading. how do things get 'un-re-directed'? the page should be a very simple page saying 'NBNS stands for NetBIOS Naming Service, according to Internet RFCs 1001 and 1002. With respect, the image in question has been uploaded to Wikipedia under fair use copyright claims. Per the terms of our policy at Wikipedia:Non-free content, "non-free content is used only in the article namespace; it is never used on templates (including stub templates and navigation boxes) or on user pages" (point 9). Basically, we can't justify fair use for you using the image to decorate your user page. Another editor has added the {{prod}} template to the article Scotch hands, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). If it's not your own work please provide as much sourcing/authorship information as you are able to.

It would also be appreciated if you could "claim" or update the source and licensing on other media you uploaded, You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.
