Two questions: the article stated that Jaeren has "very little soil covering the bedrock" - how does this agree with the extent of agriculture? Furthermore, it was stated that "the coast is without skerries". There are rocky islands off Tananger and there is also the archipelago of Kvitsøyane, so if these areas are counted as parts of Jaeren the bit about skerries cannot be true. When local people speak of Jæren, they mean the munipalities Hå, Time, Klepp and to some extent Gjesdal. Its not common to include the Sandnes and Stavanger regions to Jæren in any other terms than strictly geographically.

This is wrong. When people speak about Jæren or 'Nord-Jæren' (North-Jæren) they are talking about the Stavanger-Sandnes greater city region. Jæren is a peninsula of which all towns and municipalities are strongly connected to Stavanger/Sandnes. You may say that Jæren is a peninsula of many towns, but Stavanger/Sandnes is the 'heart' of the region. --Simenhjort (talk) 14:57, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, Jæren constitutes all the municipalities from Randaberg in the north to Hå in the south, even though many inhabitants in Stavanger usually regard Jæren as the area around Hå, Time and Klepp. The article should be revised so that the four articles about the districts of Rogaland cover all municipalities in the county and do not exclude any (At the moment, Stavanger, Sandnes, Sola and Randaberg are not included in any of the four districts. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.208.164.170 (talk) 19:23, 12 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Nøytral"[edit]

This is the only page in English Wikipedia using this term, which is in reference to the municipalities in question using both Nynorsk and Bokmål (so it would seem). To English-language readers the English term "Neutral" might be confusing (neutral in what?) but the Norwegian word even moreso. Would it be alright to substitute "Nynorsk and(/or) Bokmål" in those spots in the table?Skookum1 (talk) 14:12, 3 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
