Goings-on in the week starting Sunday June 13 2004

  • Wikipedia:Half-million pool has closed.
  • A new feature is available - a new special page that lists newbie contributions.
  • The large number of reverts lately is due to the on-again, off-again use of a vandal bot. Wik is the prime suspect.
  • Wikipedia has been blocked in China. We Chinese contributors will be having difficulties staying around from now on. The block seems to have happened a couple of days ago. --prat 03:30, 13 Jun 2004 (UTC)
    • Wikipedia block at least partially lifted at the end of the week.
  • David Gerard and Diberri become administrators. Congratulations!

Wikimedia Board of Trustees election:

  • The voting closed June 12
  • On June 13, Anthere and Angela were announced as the winners. Congratulations!
  • The full results of the election can be found at Election results.
