Always Archchancellor?[edit]

ability[edit]

i though that in the section talking about his magical prowess such as using a magic mirrors etc, some thing should be mentiond about his other strengths, while reading lords and ladys he manages a ver complex spell of transporting him and granny weatherwax 3 miles away, a similar spell in another book took all the senior wizzards & hex to send rincewind to the counterwaight contitnet (intresting times) & from what granny weatherwax said he used to do such a feat many times in his youth with her "if i remember our feet hardly touched the ground"

Well, the Counterweight Continent is a lot more than three miles distance. Ridcully's power may not necessarily be that unusual, given that he only makes shortish hops. Also recall the disc's relative inertia. Having not read Interesting Times yet, I don't know if it's addressed, but you'd assume that with a long-distance leap you'd need to spend some spellpower on counteracting the inertia. Parallel Universes[edit]

Is it really necessary to mention the parallel universe in which Esme and Mustrum were married and had kids? It seems a bit tangential. When you consider that, in the Discworld multiverse, there's a parallel universe for practically every possible scenario, it becomes seemingly redundant to point out that two people got married in one of them.
