Untitled[edit]

Why have you erased info from the trivia? Trivia is suppose to be info and random info that in some way is related! E.g. You erased the coat of arms trivia because you didn't think it was relavent???? Russiancoat of arms has a two headed bird, could be related to dranzer or Bryan's bit beast more likely. That Japanese info about the dog is true btw. Hmm maybe you should of watched Grev before posting a wikia like this.- gem 2012

Kai getting married[edit]

I heard some rumors about a manga special that showed events after the G Revolution series and Kai got married to someone named Saori (according to the person who i heard it from it may have been a character designed specifically for the special). That person said she got this piece of info off some message board but i was unable to confirm whether it was true or not so i'm not adding anything here. I would say there's a possibity that this was bad information. it could have been made up by the person who i heard it from or just made up as some sort of prank on that Kai fans on the net. I heard the rumor from a review in fanfiction.net for the fanfic Project KAIRI. If any one can confirm if this rumor is true or not please do so -dreamflare 10:32 August 29

kai getting married ..............r u crazy!!??? he's just 16 ! how can he get married ! it's definitely a prank it can't be true ! no way, i don't believe it!

'Aw...so cute! He finally told her but there's some bad news i found out. I went to to see the messgae boards about some new beyblade stuff. In one of boards they were talking about this beyblade mnag specail in a magazine that showed what happend later to G Revolution. It showed who ddi they get married with.

Tysonx?? RayxMariah Kaix??

I don't know who she is but i think she was made for the specail. I wish it was Kairi that go married with kai though.' these were the exact words the person said in the review. her username was Mysterygirl256. The review was submitted on 2005-08-16. the following is the URL:http://www.fanfiction.net/r/2468622/0/2/. see for yourself.by the way it might not be page two by the time you see this and go check it out. -dreamflare 9:26 september 29 2005

Ooh... first time posting at Wiki... does this work...? Sorry if I mess up...

Anyway, it's pretty obvious(to me) Kai got married. He get's a kid named 'Gou', and Takao has a son named 'Makoto' and Rei gets a girl named 'Rin'. I can't confirm this, but people in FF.net have sometimes mentioned them in reviews and such, as if it were rather common information, not trying to start rumors, and remember that fanfiction.net has people from many many different places that might already have this or that manga. But nobody ever mentioned anything about who Kai married. Saori you said? Hm, I'll go by some forums and try and check that out, thanks.

Maybe I'll add stuff to these pages one day, megamis know that I have enough useless anime information in my head to pass around ^^;.

Also, maybe there could be more pics, of Kai from all thre seasons and a pic of his beyblade, bit-beast, and Kuro Suzaku. I don't know how to add pics though, and I'm hesitant to try(I don't like trying new things, which is why my first time 'talking' at Wiki is exciting for me...).

But wow, Kai seems to be pretty covered, compared to Max. Ali

-- I wanna say that noone but The author knows who kai gets married with! Saori is not REAL!!

I removed some of the first paragraph of the Season 3, seeing as it repeated exactly what was stated in the beginning of the second paragraph. Also, as the manga goes, yes Kai does marry and he has a child, although the names of the child and wife are unknown to me, although I'm sure your sources are correct --Katashi

I've heard of Kai having a son named Gou also. there was a fanlisting of him somewhere but i don't remember the URL. You could see for yourself. Go to google and type in "Gou Hiwatari" WITH the quotes and click search/ press enter. Of course, since i saw it there months ago, it might not be there anymore. -dreamflare02:10, 13 December 2005 (UTC)

Kai Hiwatari has a son, Goh Hiwatari, Tyson has a son Makoto and Ray & Mariah have a daughter, Rin. These three were shown in the manga chap. 14, a special, battling each other. Daichi Sumeragi was the DJ. Goh and Makoto's mothers are unknown and will remain unknown. Hilary can't be mom of either cuz she isn't even the manga. 110.38.202.173 (talk) 13:51, 23 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

According to a website named beyblade series fanon wiki , Kai has a wife named Stephanie towa (katsuki tate in Japanese version). She is the cousin sister of Max and is a blader whose bit beast is requaza. She is also the mother of Gou and Rosie, kai's children. Sohana05 (talk) 12:04, 23 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Stephanie towa is not wife of Kai it's never stated and if Kai had got married in anime in the end like in manga I think he would marry Hilary as she is closest female character to Kai and Kai also respects her and has saved her life more than twice and TV Tokyo had confirmed that they wanted Kai and Hilary to end up together but since it wasn't a romantic show and was more focused on characters' passion for sport so they had to cut it of just to hints of their relation not showing anything concrete but hints are enough for people to see what might happen in future . Kai's Supposed 'Wife' Saori...[edit]

Yay, I found that his wife never comfirmed/shown/mentioned/etc. in the manga special, at least from the forum I checked. They had pics of pages of the manga, and while Kai's son Gou is comfirmed, there is no mention of his wife that I know of. Heck, for all we know, he doesn't even have a wife ^^. I'll come back laterz!

You could be right,Gou could be like Trunks in the DBZ anime (I don't think Bulma and Vegeta were married). Or the mother could have died in child birth. There are many possiblities--Katashi 16:08, 29 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Let me help you, because I have read the manga with Gou, Makoto, and Ling/Rin. Tyson and Kai's wife are NEVER mentioned in the manga.Hilary wasn't even in the manga so she can't be the wife of Tyson. The only child in the manga that we know the parents of is Ling. No one knows what happend to the mothers of Gou or Makoto. Some think that Kai and Tyson are the parents and that Gou and Makoto are brothers, but that not posable because they look like there fathers and there both guys.Another rumor is that they desided to leave it open so they wouldn't upset all of the Kai and Tyson lovers. -Catherine

But... i ve never heard of that girl in the manga nor the anime! it must be a stupid joke! or, a girl called Sinthia, might have made it up! i dont think fans should actually listen to all these stupid jokes! its sooooooooooooooooooooo untrue! YUNA

This wife "Saori" IS a made up character. Most likely from a FF or DA. Kai's wife is never mentioned in the manga. In an interview with Aoki Takao he said that the ending with Gou, Rin, and Makoto was a way of rounding things ups. If you really want to get into this marriage thing in the actual manga drawing (in the 14th volume) Kai and Takao aren't even wearing wedding rings. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.211.101.30 (talk) 04:52, 12 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not that they need to wear rings as not everybody who is married wears them. It is part of some cultures and traditions, but if everybody wore them we would see so many of them. In my country they are not so frequent in daily life. And I don't think it is to upset any fans that Takao Aoki didn't design their wives/partners. Usually it is hard to design somebody so important just for such a short moment (like Draco's wife in Harry Potter's epilogue. JK Rowling later on developed her after being asked so much, but we don't know about her in the book). This happens quite a lot in books, series, and such. It is just shown somebody with children or you get to know they married or are with somebody, yet not necessary to specify with whom to leave it to the imagination.

Dranzer[edit]

Question - "Whether Dranzer is Male or Female?"

In mythology, phoenix are always male. Saying that, it's a good bet that Dranzer is male — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2605:8D80:6C0:17DD:507A:5C15:66CD:9C02 (talk) 23:24, 12 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have seen on the net someone referring to Dranzer as "He" while some others refer to Dranzer as "She".

Lordhp 08:31, 8 September 2006 (UTC) Lordhp[reply]

dranzers a female, thats what i've heard anyway may be wrong :-)

-- She IS a femal!

--Dranzer is male. All of the (main four) bitbeasts are male. It says so in the first season near the end of 'Breaking the Ice' where the four (Tyson, Rei, and Max) battle Kai. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.226.76.184 (talk) 23:34, 19 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dranzer could be male or female. For one its a pheonix. In the English dub version Tyson refers to Dranzer as "him" in the Breaking Ice episode, however in the original Dranzer could still be a female (there has yet to be a translation so we won't know). Also in the Fierce Battle movie Dark Dranzer takes over the girl's body rather than any of the others, maybe this is suggesting something. The other bladebreaker bitbeasts all seem to be male to start with. Dragoon has a male voice so that helps, Drigger has that weird cat moment with Mirah's bitbeast when they vs each other and Draciel just seems to be male. If you look at Dranzer it seems feminine by the way its drawn. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.211.101.30 (talk) 04:57, 12 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dranzer is a male, Black Dranzer is a female. Dark Dranzer is a male. Cyber Dranzer is a cyborg and Ultimate Frostic Dranzer's gender is unknown as it was only in the manga. -39.48.74.173 (talk) 08:23, 9 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Kai's Sibling???[edit]

i've heard that maybe if the creators will create a 4th season, the bladebreakers members will have some siblings appearing in the show. Kai would have a suprisingly bubbly and flirty sister who has a major crush on Ray. Tyson and Ray would have an older sister while Max has a little sister that looks like him with the blond hair and all and Kenny as well has a liile sister but without the laptop and glasses and she wears a skirt.Forbidden darkness 05:42, 12 November 2006 (UTC)forbidden darkness[reply]

This sounds terribly like a bad fanfic concept to me. Given how interested my acquaintances are in Beyblade, I can safely say that there is no official plans for any more series of the anime or volumes of the manga. There are an awful lot of fanficcers trying their hands at imagining what might happen after the official run -- including a lot of stories labled "Fourth Season" -- but non of that is all. Nêdunque 21:51, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A fourth season WAS created, but without the Bladebreakers.(How I miss Kai!) Instead, a new team, Gan Gan Galaxy was introduced, with new characters and a new story. Its called Metal Fusion. 39.48.94.235 (talk) 09:10, 9 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Erasing trivia[edit]

I would like to edit the Trivia section, but I would need assistance to differ between useful and useless trivias. Thanks. Punkalicious 01:07, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I haven't had the patience to clean it up myself, but here's my take on it:
  • The four bitbeasts used by the main characters (Dranzer, Drigger, Dragoon and Draciel) are representations of the four sacred beasts, Suzaku (Red Phoenix, Dranzer), Byakko (White Tiger, Drigger) Seiryu (Blue Dragon, Dragoon) and Genbu (Black Tortoise, Draciel).
This is correct. A bigger deal is made of it in the manga (vol. 1, p 169) than in the anime. I fail to see though why this is in Kai's article rather than Bladebreakers or Beyblade.
  • Out of all of the Bladebreakers, Kai says the least, and says less as the seasons go on.
Kai is certainly rather silent, but he has his bouts of eloquence in V-Force, so I wouldn't bet on him saying less in that series than in the first. Without access to proper transcripts there's not way of knowing the accuracy of this claim. Even if it does ring somewhat true.
  • Although a tough guy, he is shown giving a cat milk, bringing food for a family of cats and in the first ending for the third season, feeding a dog. In the original uncut Japanese version, the ending shows the dog peeing over Balkov.
Whether Kai is a "tough guy" or not can be debated. His taking care of stray animals is correct, I believe. It should be easy to confirm the last claim for anyone with access to the Japanese DVDs.
  • Kai's storyarc, the 'Black Dranzer' in Beyblade season 1, is one of the most popular stories amongst western fans and has been a favourite subject of fan-fiction.
It's certainly true that inordinate amounts of Kai-angst has been written based on Kai's supposed childhood in the abbey. But I know of no statistics to confirm the claim that it's "one of the most popular {arcs}". So by the "standards" of WP this is original research - unsourced at that.
  • He is one of only three characters designed for the original Japanese Beyblade game when Beyblades were first made to transfer over to other stories in Beyblade. The others were Jin of the Gale and Tyson. In this game, Kai didn't have his trademark face paint until the final closing picture of him and Jin.
Never played the games, but this should also be possible to verify. I suggest visiting [1] to try and find a fan that knows the games.
  • Kai's bit beast, Suzaku, could also be associated with the Russian Coat of Arms.
True in as much that a threetailed "phoenix" and a doubleheaded eagle are both bird-like. Opinion that's likely meant to help the case for Kai being Russian and growing up in OH NOEZ! Teh Abbey, rather than being a spoilt Japanese kid with father-issues.
  • In episode 48 of all three seasons of Beyblade Kai loses Dranzer in a battle. (Season 1: Spencer, V-force: Zeo, G-Rev: Loses Suzaku after battling Brooklyn.)
Kai does certainly lose Suzaku in series two and three, but I don't know if it's episode 48 in either case. In series one he gives up Suzaku in favour of Black Suzaku/Dranzer at some point, but I don't know if he loses it later. The entire first series is out on DVD, though, so this is easily confirmed.
  • Brooklyn and Kai share a distinct rivalry near the end of G-rev. Brooklyn acts a lot like Kai used to in the beginning of season one and their rivalry could be compared to Tyson and Kai as it was in the beginning of season one with Kai being the 'Tyson' of the relationship. Maybe it's a plot device to show that Kai's greatest enemy is someone who is himself or is himself.
Haven't seen G-Rev, but Kai's relationship to Brooklyn has been covered in the relevant section. While this claim is possible, it once again sounds like original research.
  • Kai's battle with Brooklyn is similar to Ray's battle with Bryan both of them were badly hurt but won the match in the end and gave a fighting chance to Tyson.
True, but I'm not sure how it's relevant.
  • The scene of Kai and Tyson relaxing in space during their match has spawned many fanfiction and fanart in terms of shounen-ai.
Very true. The scene has repeatedly been used to claim that Kai and Takao are an official couple - "canon" being the word favoured by the shippers. There are no official couples in the anime. I have not deleted this claim yet because it's bound to be reinserted by shippers (I think it's in the Beyblade article, too, which irks me). It is true, though that this is a large part of the basis for the Kai&Takao ship. This is covered in the linked "Shipping Manifesto", but take it out and a shipper will put it in again.

- Then again, you could say the same thing with many of Kai's scenes with Rei, particularly in the second and first seasons. Or even his teammate Yuriy.

  • The Blue Dragon (Seiryuu) and the Red Phoenix (Suzaku) are often depicted as representing the embodiment of wedded bliss or eternal rivals. (Astrology, Chinese/Japanese Mythology)
This is obviously a claim meant to support the Kai&Takao ship. It's absolutely unsourced - if they are "often depicted" it should be easy to substantiate it. The recent addition of "or eternal rivals" is from an IP address in Korea, so the contributor might well be right. But that, too, hasn't been confirmed in any way. I am told though that this (rivalry) is the relationship between those spirits in the anime Fushigi Yuugi.
Those are the facts as I know them.
Nêdunque 07:17, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've read enough. I did the clean-up, and it goes like this:
  • The four bitbeasts used by the main characters (Dranzer, Drigger, Dragoon and Draciel) are representations of the four sacred beasts, Suzaku (Red Phoenix, Dranzer), Byakko (White Tiger, Drigger) Seiryu (Blue Dragon, Dragoon) and Genbu (Black Tortoise, Draciel).
I moved this trivia to the Bladebreakers article and started a Trivia section there.
  • Out of all of the Bladebreakers, Kai says the least, and says less as the seasons go on.
This is true, but the last part, being a Beyblade watcher myself, is false; I erased it.
  • Although a tough guy, he is shown giving a cat milk, bringing food for a family of cats and in the first ending for the third season, feeding a dog. In the original uncut Japanese version, the ending shows the dog peeing over Balkov.
I can't confirm whether Kai is a tough guy or has attitude problems, but I left this trivia it because I can confirm that Kai did gave milk to a stray cat when he was in an alley. I erased the Japanese claim, since I haven't watched the jap DVD: if someone wishes to add it back, it'll be subject of discussion here.
  • Kai's storyarc, the 'Black Dranzer' in Beyblade season 1, is one of the most popular stories amongst western fans and has been a favourite subject of fan-fiction.
An useless trivia, if you ask me. Also, there's no statistics to prove so, so to the trash you go.
  • He is one of only three characters designed for the original Japanese Beyblade game when Beyblades were first made to transfer over to other stories in Beyblade. The others were Jin of the Gale and Tyson. In this game, Kai didn't have his trademark face paint until the final closing picture of him and Jin.
Left it there, just in case it can be confirmed.
  • Kai's bit beast, Suzaku, could also be associated with the Russian Coat of Arms.
I don't see how this can go in the article, so I erased it.
  • In episode 48 of all three seasons of Beyblade Kai loses Dranzer in a battle. (Season 1: Spencer, V-force: Zeo, G-Rev: Loses Suzaku after battling Brooklyn.)
It is true that Kai does loses Dranzer in Season 1 and 2: I haven't watched the episode in Season 3 where Kai loses Dranzer...but I don't see how it can help to the article.
"True, but I'm not sure how it's relevant." I feel the same way: erased it.
  • The scene of Kai and Tyson relaxing in space during their match has spawned many fanfiction and fanart in terms of shounen-ai.
The pairings people in the internet make, although could be loosely based on events from either the manga or the anime, is of no relevance to this article. Depending on how things go, I'll ask for a lock on this article.
  • The Blue Dragon (Seiryuu) and the Red Phoenix (Suzaku) are often depicted as representing the embodiment of wedded bliss or eternal rivals. (Astrology, Chinese/Japanese Mythology)
Could be true but in the meantime it won't be there.

Also I've come back here a few times and someone keeps adding "Kai's favourite food is sausage" This is hard to state is true or not considering Kai hardly eats and you never actually see him eat anything, apart from in the Mansion with his Grandfather but that food at the time could of just been given to him and then the time Tyson mentions about Kai in pretzles but that was the english dub version which has different lines to that of the original. I keep hearing that Kai's favourite food is steak though... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.211.101.30 (talk) 05:03, 12 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
