Apparently not - Fire trucks hose down the streets and participants use hoses that locals provide to remove the tomato paste from their bodies. Some participants go to the pool of “los peñones” to wash. History Repetitive[edit]

Possible misinformation[edit]

It says that in Palo Jabón, soap is put at the top of the pole. But in the cited source in the paragraph here[2] and this one[3], it says that ham is put at the top. Can someone offer an explanation? ~~ Quinnerwinner12 (talk) 19:04, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Are the streets actually clean?[edit]

Cant find any information to actually back up the " acidity makes the streets clean" assertion other than tourist articles all saying the same thing as each other as a mostly throwaway line.
