Two out of 3 months have gone by since this message was wrote. Interestingly, here is a problem. True or false: something that can be concluded given that the TI-82 (which began in 1993) survived all the way to 2004, whereas the TI-80 and TI-92, both of which began in 1995, did not, is that the TI-82 was a very popular calculator. 66.245.125.9 22:48, 2 Aug 2004 (UTC)

I got a message recently saying that they haven't been discontinued yet. I suggest we wait until the TI-85 Plus (or whatever the name of the model that is the upgrade to the TI-84 Plus) comes out, which probably won't be until at least 2007. 66.245.79.225 21:48, 8 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Unimportant article. Boring too.

Agreed, I have a TI-82 stats, they come from 1999, and I'm not really sure if they have anything to do with the TI-82 - they come with more complex numbers, distributions and the ability to shade above or below graphics, they seems more like a TI-83, but with a lower version number and only a release in some parts of the world, geographically. 82.32.196.210 (talk) 19:18, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A bit of misinformation on this article[edit]

The TI-82 was actually a stripped down version of the TI-85, not an updated version of the TI-81. The TI-82 WAS designed to replace the TI-81 though.
