I think that Bicycle Chain is a reasonable redirect to bicycle chain, so I don't think it really needs to be deleted. When you are signed in, you can use the "Move this page" feature to move a page from the wrong place to the right one, without cutting and pasting the text. Using that feature is nicer, because it preserves the edit history of the page all in one place. Now that I come to look at this particular case, it doesn't really matter, because there was no edit history apart from what you'd done anyway, but in general it is a good idea, so that when people look at the edit history they can see it all in one place. What's the proper way to respond to User talk? Like this? or should I respond in User_talk:Oliver_Periera ?
(I just noticed the <Show preview> button ! Cool ! I wouldn't have saved so many bad edits if I'd noticed it before! )
Is that timestamp at the end of your post generated automagically? Is there some meta-thingee to do that?
I want to add an entry that contains a Spanish "enye" character - Bun~ol - should the entry/filename be:
- Bun~ol
- Bu + whatever hex unicode thing it takes + ol
- Bunyol (English phonetic)
- Bunol (just pretend the tilde isn't there)
- ???

Hi Adrian. Whether you respond here or Oliver's talk page seems to be a matter of preference. Some people prefer to keep a conversation in one place so they reply on the same page. If the conversation's important, the other person can add this page to their watchlist, so they will know when you've replied to them. On the other hand, the advantage to replying on Oliver's page is that he will get the You have new messages appear at the top of the page straight away, so he will definitely get your message.

The timestamp is automatic. Just put four tildes (~) and it will change to your signature followed by the time. Three tildes just does your signature without the time.

I'm afraid I can't help with the special characters thing. You might get a response quicker if you ask at the Village pump.

Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 2000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "{{DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual}}" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace.
