Template problem[edit]

There seems to be a problem with some driver pages where the Complete Formula One Results template has been applied, and it's that there always ends up being a large white unused space. This happens because of the shape of both templates and because one cannot be placed on top or under the other. Any pointers? Diego440 13:55, 23 Feb 2005 (UTC)

POV?[edit]

The tone of this article doesn't really feel very neutral. Maybe some of it should be rewritten/rephrased a little? For example:

"When Michael Schumacher broke his leg in an accident in Silverstone in July 1999, he thought it would be his great chance to demonstrate his excellence, but the team chose to run Mika Salo instead, a decision which former Ferrari driver Jean Alesi publically criticised."

Olympics[edit]

He did more than just rev the engine, he did a few doughnuts, making a large cloud of tire smoke and leaving expensive marks on the platform. Counterfit 04:42, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Active driver[edit]

Ive added a part saying that Luca and Rubens Barrichello are the only active drivers who have raced against Ayrton Senna. If hes testing then he is active so please do not change. 203.51.128.97 10:52, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure if it should stay in, if I'm honest. It's not entirely accurate for one thing: Rubens and Luca might be the only two drivers active in Formula One who raced against Senna, but there are plenty of people from that era who still race sports cars at one level or another: Mika Salo and Johnny Herbert are two that spring to mind. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.232.208.134 (talk) 13:57, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What we are saying is active formula1 drivers. Of course theres plenty of active drivers that have raced against Ayrton Senna, but we are talking about Formula1.Pattav2 11:36, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Seriously, who cares about (the otherwise great) Senna in an article about Badoer! 145.120.12.72 (talk) 13:59, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Jake Humphrey[edit]

When Jake Humphrey from ITV knows a little more about the history of Formula One, he'll stop saying things like "Luca Badoer is the first person to qualify last in a Ferrari".

Cliff Allison, 1959 Dutch Grand Prix.

At least two drivers I know of have DNQed a Ferrari - Andretti at Monaco (not really his fault) and Scheckter in Canada 1980 when the car was too awful. Badoer would have easily qualified with the old 107% rule, so it's not the worst qualifying performance in a Ferrari. You can't believe everything that muppets tell you on the TV. Bretonbanquet (talk) 19:39, 22 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This isn't a general rant by the way, it's aimed at the IP editor who keeps adding Humphrey's quote to the article. Bretonbanquet (talk) 19:51, 22 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

i'm prety sure he said first to qualify last in a ferrari on merit. in other words not penalties or accidents during qualifying.92.20.97.94 (talk) 18:00, 25 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, still wrong. Bretonbanquet (talk) 21:33, 25 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Current Driver Status?[edit]

In the beginning of the article, it reads [..]and is presently a test driver for the Ferrari team. However, he's presently driving for the Ferrari team, replacing Felipe Massa temporarily. Should this be edited? --Chrill (talk) 17:09, 23 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've changed it to test and reserve driver, because that is still his primary role. The next sentence clarifies his stand-in role for Massa. Bretonbanquet (talk) 17:12, 23 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
