Untitled[edit]

The HK Economic Journal has been published for years and is well-known in HK. It is with high reliability among the newspapers in HK.

However, in resent years, this newspaper seems involve much more soft news than before. The way of its reporting is changing too?more sensational and story-like.

Personal style is difficult to build for a newspaper.Hope it can maintain it's own style.

Hard news : news about public policy or affairs. Soft news : news that is not about public policy or affairs.

cantonese[edit]

The Chinese characters in paragraph Founded by Mr. 林山木(林行止) and Mr. 羅治平 who observed the potential of developing economic journal in this rapid developed city on 3rd July, 1973, it is one of the most influential newspapers in the Chinese media world. need to be written in Cantonese pinyin too, anyone could help? --FallingInLoveWithPitoc 08:58, 22 Oct 2003 (UTC)

I've changed all the "pinyin" to Cantonese after some consideration. I think we should stick to what those people call themselves and not whatever the putonghua pinyin is, especially when "Lam Hangzi" is neither Cantonese nor pinyin. I've changed it into "H C Lam", as some English sources seem to call him. --little Alex 09:04, Dec 8, 2004 (UTC)

Impression of The HK Economics Journal[edit]

Traditionally, it is a bit mild in reporting and does not contain too much entertaining content.It is mainly focus on reporting hard news and financial-related news.

This article are in quite a mess, contains too many Chinese charaters without giving out the romanization, which would make no sense to those who don't know Chinese charaters. --FallingInLoveWithPitoc 17:09, 22 Oct 2003 (UTC)
