I do not understand why this article should exist. I do not see how it meets WP:Notability#Stand-alone lists, given that the (relatively few) citations it has are all to sources about individual items. Therefore it does absolutely nothing to establish that "etymologies of company names" is a notable topic. ColinFine (talk) 15:08, 26 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
(I followed you here from the thread at the help desk) I also question the utility of such a list. If someone is curious as to how a company got it's name, the natural thing to do would be to search for the article on that company, where they would almost certainly find the information they were looking for. I also agree with the point that "company name etymologies" hasn't been demonstrated to be a notable topic. Just Step Sidewaysfrom this world ..... today 16:01, 26 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
