A distinction should be made between Changelings and Founders. Changelings are an alien race. Founders are a political entity. The obvious distinction is personified by Odo, who is a Changeling but is not a Founder.

I'll be happy to edit the page to make the distinction, just as soon as I figure out how to word it. MrItty 15:05, 9 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Why is no mention made of the Changeling in Stark Trek VI?

Because though Martia was a shape-shifter she wasn't of the same species as the Changelings (there are several shape-shifting species within the Star Trek universe).--65.113.254.219 20:32, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The claim that the Changelings are poor imitators of faces is false, as several people have had their faces flawlessly imitated by changelings, such as Martok, O'Brien, Bashir, Krajensky and Admiral Leyton.--211.26.178.120 09:40, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I was just wondering why changelings are said to have a affiliation with the dominion, when odo is with the bajorans and some other changelings are not with anybody ( sorry i can't remember his name )

Because they run the Dominion, they are it's leaders. Not all changelings are, just the founders, the other group is the hundred, that is the hundred changelings sent out by the founders in their infant stage. The snare (talk) 02:28, 9 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
