Nyak Tso[edit]

Its a lake in Tibet, China about 30 kms from Rudog- a town close to India's Ladakh. I would like to know the length and width of this lake, its area and whether its connected to any other lakes. According to old explorer's accounts there is another lake called Rum Tso adjacent to it. Are there any grazing grounds nearby. Are there motorable roads to it, and if so from where? How far are Khotan, yarkand and Lhasa from here by road. It is also separated by a small water channel called Aot (?) and a sand shelf from Pangong Tso the 64 kms long and 4249 m high salt water lake in Ladakh, India. I shall be graetful for more infomration and photogrpahs. Thank you. Romesh Bhattacharji rbhatto@gmail.com
