[edit]Is epigenetics a subdivision of genetics? If so, the biological inheritance article should redirect to genetic inheritance. Lirath Q. Pynnor
"Genetic" implies things having to do with DNA sequences. I believe "genetics" in the broad sense covers the things described as "epigenetics," but the scientists studying many epigenetic mechanisms are molecular and cell biologists, not geneticists per se. 168... 07:01, 6 Jan 2004 (UTC)
- That's a bit carbon chauvinist of you. :) "Genetic" can also refer to genetic programming and genetic algorithms - it might not be a good idea to simply redirect this to biological inheritance. Two separate articles may be warranted. Bryan 07:07, 6 Jan 2004 (UTC)
