Untitled[edit]

I couldn't find any information as to dates and times online... I know it's the longest-running children's prog on air but I don't know when it was started. KJ

Indeed. Play School, where else would you find 35-year-old bald man play with puppets followed by a 15-minute dance about the weather with a voice that would give Hannibal Lecter the creeps. Sorry. Had to post that. Remove this if you find it.

Play School vs Sesame Street[edit]

On what grounds has it been determined that Sesame Street is of greater influence on Australian children than Playschool?--Cyberjunkie | Talk 14:17, 26 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Fred Harris.[edit]

What about mentioning the comic moment when, during a recorded rehearsal of one of the BBC episodes, Fred Harris, repeatedly having to do takes because of one or more of the stuffed toys/dolls falling over in the background, exclaimed exasperatedly (paraphrase), 'I can't work with these amateurs!', kicking several over in frustration.

Hamble[edit]

Just noting the discussion about whether Hamble merits her own wikipedia page. I would argue yes, she does.

Nick Mooney[edit]

?? The whole section on Nick Mooney doesn't seem right, and google failed to pick up any relationship to playschool by anyone of that name.

It's vandalism from February that has until now remained unnoticed. Removed. BillyH 00:46, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Controversy[edit]

Cannot find any reference for this section:

Play School also faced conyroversy soon after the World Trade Center attacks when a segment aired showing the two presenters building two towers side by side then knocking them over. Play School producers stated that the episode was filmed many months in advance, and that most of the target audience would be unable to make the connection anyway.

Will remove soon if I can't find any source for it. Recurring dreams 03:04, 13 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
