Im not sure I understand - will the new QMV require 55% majority of the weighted votes of states and 65% of pop, or literally 55% of states, each counted as an equal vote, and 65% of pop - does that mean that states wont be weighted by size in the council at all? --83.131.159.242 11:40, 24 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

New redirect destination proposal[edit]

After 31 March 2017, member states can no longer request that the Nice rules are used for a particular vote. Only Lisbon rules will be used to determine a qualified majority voting. As such, from April, I think the redirect should link to the Treaty of Lisbon section of the article. This will allow readers to understand what the qualified majority voting rules currently are (which is probably why they clicked the link), then look at the history of the rules if they chose to do so.
