Suggestion[edit]

Kate Moss is perhaps one of the most famous people to have come from Addiscombe. Should this not be added to the list of famous residents? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.222.168.9 (talk) 13:26, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Athletes on the brickworks[edit]

I am not sure if the following qualifies to go in the article.

The site of the former brickworks lying behind Beckford Road has been redeveloped as housing. The roads have been consistently named after athletes who were in the news at the time - late 1980s, early 1990s. They are:

  • Backley Gardens - Steve Backley
  • Coe Avenue - Sebastian Coe
  • Anthony Road - misleading! This road is much older. The name is just as likely to be that of the developer or one of his family.

Interesting... maybe could be include on the Woodside article if a decent reference can be found? WisDom-UK (talk) 14:04, 17 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Addiscombe[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Addiscombe's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "Willey":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 14:43, 17 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
