Did the scat solo solo guy Philippe Wynne say the recurring phrase "Ants in my pants and I need to dance" in that song? --SuperDude 02:49, 13 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, he provides the vocals for the outro; such as "Make no mistake, that funky music got what it takes. To groove you sometimes and knock you down, make you want to turn around and do it one more time yeah." "Oh, it must be me, must be funksety (or some variation of that word)." Yes it's Wynne, but the lyrics are "Can this be me, immersed in funk so deep?" — Malik Shabazz (talk · contribs) 01:25, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

VfD and RfD[edit]

Why was this song put on VfD and RfD in the past? I turned it into a redirect since the past article was deleted. --SuperDude 21:13, 17 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

"...he thought that the 3/4 time wouldn't make the song good for dancing."[edit]

The song's in 4/4. Either there's a bad source, George Clinton didn't actually understand time signatures, or there's a missing step like "the song was rewritten in 4/4". Can't determine which of these is the case 175.38.211.148 (talk) 01:15, 15 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Or more likely, some Wikipedia editor didn't know what he was writing about. It's gone now. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 02:00, 15 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Add number of samples?[edit]

Instead of saying sampled by many should it be switched to 121. It's much more significant than the 5 or so examples provided. Source: http://www.whosampled.com/Funkadelic/(Not-Just)-Knee-Deep/sampled/
